Great Books at the Mill is located in the historic mill in Williamsford, Ontario which is approximately 180 km. northwest of downtown Toronto, Canada.

We began bookselling in Toronto in 1977 with a small stock specializing in Canadiana and now have a large general stock of approximately 70,000 volumes in over 100 categories. Some of these categories are Art, Gardening, Military History, Nature, Science Fiction, Canadiana, Royalty, Modern First Editions, Ships and the Sea, Antiques and Collectibles, and much more.

We purchased the old mill in Williamsford, just south of Owen Sound on Hwy 6 in March /06 and opened in July 2010 after a 4 1/2 year renovation. We are a bookstore/cafe with homemade breakfasts, quality coffee and tea, decadent desserts, and much more.

Great Books & Cafe (519-794-4625) is located at 316070 Hwy 6 in the historic mill in Williamsford (see map), Ontario which is approximately 180 km. northwest of downtown Toronto, Canada. We purchased the mill in March 2006, and opened to the public in July 2010 after a 4 1/2 year renovation.

Both the bookstore and restaurant opened in July 2010. In addition to books, we offer fresh baked goods daily, homemade breakfasts and lunches, delicious soups and salads, lean beef burgers, fresh cut fries, quality coffees and teas, decadent desserts, and much more! All with an emphases on healthy, local and organic where ever possible.

We are open Thursdays to Sundays from 9:00 – 5:00. We are open by reservation only for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights.
